Forum: GratefulDead Subject: So you thought you've heard all the good New England shows?

Here are 2 shows that are seldom mentioned here that deserve recognition. What surprises me the most is all the Boston area fans here on the forum and very little appreciation of these shows. Anyway, here are 2 new Charlie Miller soundboards, the first to surface that I'm aware of of way above average shows:

Here's a show from Hartford from 5-10-80 that features a setlist to die for. What would you have done to see a show like this in the later years? Dont pass this up

Here's one from the Boston Garden on 5-12-80 that features the best Alabama that I've heard and a caution jam that is the real deal!

edit: I've changed the links to what's here at the archive but note there are new sbds available that sound very good.

Give these a listen and you'll forget about the Giants big superbowl victory (sorry, I couldn't resist as I've been a lifelong Giants fan)

your current links are fine as far as i know.....

andthanks for the rec, i like 1980 - they seem to have had good energy that year but i have not checked either of these before..... the show from 5/15/80 is as close as i get -- and THAT one is a sure winner!

Is it cool to post these links, or should I delete them?
